Iris Kim is a professional make-up artist who graduated from Make-Up Designory School, located in New York City. As an ambitious make-up artist, she is always looking to expand her knowledge and experience mainly in (but not limited to) the editorial, runway, TV/film and bridal field. Before the pursuit of becoming a professional make-up artist, Iris attended the Art Institute of Boston as a student, majoring in Fine Arts. The comprehension and precise craft gained, as a Fine Arts student, translated to her fascination and passion for make-up—the art of transforming a person utilizing make-up as a medium. Iris finds that make-up enhances her creativity as an artist, as she mutually finds inspiration from her environment. To pursue her dreams as a make-up artist, Iris then proactively enrolled into Make-Up Designory School, focusing her studies in the Multimedia Program, in which she learned the trade of beauty make-up, high fashion make-up, and special effects make-up for TV/film. After her training, Iris has assisted makeup-artist/hairstylist, Troi Ollivierre, whose work you can mainly see in JCrew Campaigns. She has also assisted makeup-artist/hairstylist, Amy Chin, whose work you can see in JCrew, Madewell, Self Magazine, and more. Iris is gaining experience and knowledge of the makeup and fashion industry in hopes of becoming one of the most respected artists. Iris works and resides in New York today.
